Happy Fall! What better way to celebrate autumn than with an aspen trees and leaves journal spread. I really tried this month to make my flat lay super colorful and interesting. It was fun to collect bits and bobs that reminded me of fall!
Cover Page
My dutch door cover page for this month is a simple aspen trees scene. It was actually very easy to draw even if it looks complicated.
I keep coming up with things to add under the dutch door spread and I am all for what I’ve got listed this month. This month is a crazy one for me, especially with the publication of a book of short stories that I am published in. You see my post about the book here! My writing group has been doing some events to help promote the book and I had to list them to keep track. Not to mention the other important dates for this month like birthdays, anniversaries, and US holidays.
Monthly Calendar
I always end up having a favorite page or spread and this month is definitely this calendar page. It’s simple and minimalist like I usually do but I think it turned out a little whimsical too and I just love it!
All my leaves this month are drawn like leaves from aspen trees. (Go figure lol.)
Blogging Calendar and Month in Review
I’m did something a little different this month for my “extra” page. I’m using another journal to practice gratitude and writing five pieces of gratitude every morning in my Start Today journal. Just another way I’m trying to practice mindfulness and intentional goal setting.
Anyway, it seemed redundant to add another gratitude journal on the left side of the page like I usually do (see September here). I’ve managed to create a blogging schedule for myself, posting every Tuesday. And instead of creating a blog post the day of (cough, cough, is that what you did today? Cough, no, cough, yes. I’m only human, okay.) I’m trying to schedule posts weeks out. I think this will really help when the holidays roll around and I can get into a practice of creating content beforehand.
I always do a month in review page because it’s fun! It’s something I can look back on years later and reminisce on some of the things I thought memorable that particular month.
Weekly Spread
My weekly spread this month is… underwhelming. It’s very simple but useful!
Fun fact: I found the washi tape in my apartment desk when I was living in Spain. It’s amazing what people will leave behind. I thought it was about time to put it to use and add some color to my pages without breaking out the watercolors.
I think this month is definitely one that you could easily recreate! And please do! I love seeing how other people have used my ideas to inspire their own bullet journals. The bullet journal community, in general, is so encouraging and creative. I love to see what others come up with. Let’s keep sharing everything that inspires us!
Happy Day-
