My inspiration for my theme this month came from one thought: January flowers? And the answer, snowdrops. And the best news, they are super easy to recreate. I learned how to draw them quite simply with three dropping petals. So grab a cup a tea 😉 and see my minimalist spreads for my bujo this month.
Cover Page
I have ditched the dutch door for good! Last year, I had a cutaway page on the right side but it wasted pages and I was never super happy with the way it turned out. Because it always (low key) looked like a toddler had cut it away with safety scissors. The pictures hide a lot, by the way.

Anyway, I love my cover page! It’s useful and pretty which is like my whole aesthetic. And why I love bullet journals! The uniqueness fits my style and the season. It can change all the time and that’s what makes journaling special.

I am all about white space (or a blank page) but I decided to put a focus on the left side of my cover page. An intention page, if you will, that lays out what I am leaving behind in 2020 and what I am bringing into 2020.

Monthly Calendar
My color scheme for this month is very wintery with sage green, dark blue, a light gray. The cool colors really tie the whole composition together. If bullet journaling has taught me anything, it’s getting back to my artist roots. I really enjoy spending the time to doodle and practice drawing every month.

Weekly Layout
This year, I want to experiment with different types of weekly layouts. I used the same weekly layout for almost all of 2019 and I still love it the best. But I’m branching out and finding new layouts to try every month.

What I love about this layout is that it gives lots of room for weekday to-do lists and tasks. The weekend sections are smaller but that works for my schedule.

You can see my bullet journal setup for 2020 where I have my key for the year. I use a square that I fill when complete; half-filled for started.

The micron pen with the 03 nib is a great size for everyday use. I used the 01 nib last year which was great for a more simplistic design. The 03 will have some greater traction to last me longer.

It was a lovely day for me to brew a cup of tea and sit at my desk and draw up my spreads. Journaling is really a great practice in mindfulness. It’s also something that I do for myself. Sharing what I create is just a delightful bonus. Thanks for reading along!
Happy Day-
